NSW based food services firm, A & W Hollier P/L, has taken a 3+3+3 year lease on the middle and front spaces of a 2,800m2 freestander at 11 Tolmer Place, Springwood, and will be paying $168,000pa. King & Co’s Pat Kerruish handled the transaction, while the lessor is undisclosed.

This rental encompasses approximately 2,100m2 of that building, and includes a 1,760m2 temperature controlled warehouse accessed via four roller doors as well as three crossovers. It also provides 340m2 of office over two levels and two minutes proximity to the M1 Motorway.

According to Kerruish, the new tenant is relocating from an 864m2 site at nearby Pacific Place and chose to remain close as it would be easier to make the transfer of equipment and stock. They also were attracted by the new sites air conditioning. Kerruish added that the old space is vacant and can be rented for around $130/m2 gross. Meanwhile,  the remaining 700m2 tenancy to the rear was also leased by Kerruish to a soft drink distributor, Occassio Australia.

A & W Hollier has been in the wholesale food services and confectionery business for 35 years and distributes to hospitals, schools and  service stations. It also has operations in NSW and  Victoria, with the Springwood outlet responsible for all of Queensland.

Kerruish says that after a year of slow activity in the Springwood rental market, it, and the nearby industrial suburbs of Underwood and Slacks Creek, seem generally to be on the rebound, with spaces that have been vacant for some months now being taken up.
