Expanding welding supplier adds to its three Queensland outlets by paying $1,120 ,000 for Ormeau site

Expanding Aitken Welding Supplies is adding to its three Queensland outlets by paying $1,120 ,000 for a modern 1,000m2 freestander at 38 Notar Drive, Ormeau, in the southern end of the popular Yatala Enterprise Area.

King & Co’s Myles Clentsmith handled the transaction, while the vendor is undisclosed Constructed in 2002, this building features 650m2 of clearspan warehouse accessed via two roller doors, 250m2 of load bearing mezzanine, a 100m2 office and a wash down area to the rear. Clentsmith says “the new owner chose this site because of its equal proximity to the Gold Coast and the CBD as well as its high standard of construction.” Aitken Welding Supplies is a family owned independent Australian company that has been in operation since 1985. It supplies and services an area from Central Queensland, South East Queensland to Northern NSW and Interstate. Aitken Welding Supplies is a key distributor for welding and cutting brands; WIA, Lincoln, Miller, Cigweld, Harris, Kemppi, Migomag, Shindaiwa, Esab to name a few. Other products offered include safety equipment, abrasives, power tools, welding consumables, industrial gases and more. Aitken Welding Supplies can also offer a range of hire equipment, single phase, three phase welding and plasma cutting machines, straight line gas cutting equipment and a range of engine driven welders to suit any on-site application.

With this purchase, the company now has three licensed electrical service shops located at Gladstone in Central Queensland, Rocklea in Brisbane plus Ormeau and Labrador on the Gold Coast.
