by admin | 2nd November 2010

NSW based Prestige Tiles P/L  has committed to leasing a 2,439m2 freestanding office/warehouse at 1/52-73 Wentworth Place, Northgate. While the exact cost per annum is undisclosed similar properties nearby have been going for $105/m2 to $115/m2. King & Co handled the transaction, while the lessor was a local investor.

This building is one of three in a new tilt slab development, with sizes ranging from 2,251m2 to 2,439m2. Features in each comprise good internal roof height, multiple container height roller doors, and parking for 28.

Prestige Tiles is fully owned by R.A.K. Ceramics, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and sanitary ware. It is a leading wholesaler of small to large format ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and related products to over 100 retailers and allied companies across New South Wales over the past thirty six years.

As to the reason for the lease, according to company Managing Director, Mr Cheriyan Samuel, the demand for R.A.K. Ceramic’s products had increased substantially in New South Wales and, therefore, gave us the opportunity to expand into Queensland. Northgate was selected as the central office & warehouse as it geographically and logistically suitable fo our networks and shipping infrastructure.

The site received much enquiry, and reflected the need for properties of this size and configuration
