Growing trailer firm rents Darra site for $300,000

To better service its local customer base, Melbourne headquartered trailer manufacturer, distributor and servicer, Vawdrey Australia (Qld) P/L, has relocated from Rocklea to a 2,601m2 space at 57 Machinery Street, Darra, and will be paying $300,000 pa on terms of 3+3 years. King & Co agent Ben Donnelly handled the transaction, while the lessor is undisclosed

This property comprises a clearspan, metal clad warehouse with excellent  access via numerous container height roller doors on 3 sides and good roof height. It also features a large office over 2 levels and provides ample car parking

The 37 year old firm manufactures 1,200 premier quality trailers per year at its Melbourne facility, which also provides servicing, while the Queensland facility is reserved for sales, servicing and a full range of parts. Trailer types that are produced include semi trailer freezer vans, drive freight vans, curtain sided trailers as well as flat top and skeletal container trailers

According to Donnelly, “the firm was particularly attracted to the site’s 3,000m2 of yard space at the rear, its significant exposure to the Ipswich Motorway as well as it having good sized warehouse showroom.”
