Two Geebung leases make all parties a winner

In a couple of separate Geebung leases that saw everyone become a winner, NSW based Bevwizz Group P/L has taken up a 3,336m2 building at G/J 172 Robinson Road, while an overseas based firm is paying $152,400 pa on the same terms to rent a 1,016m2 Bevwizz occupied space just up the street, at 146 Robinson Road. The rental amount for 172 Robinson Road is undisclosed but industry sources say it would have been between  $80/m2 and $90/m2 for comparable spaces.

King & Co’s Ben Donnelly handled the former deal, with the latter was done by David Knox.

More specifically, Bevwizz, Australia’s leading foodservice and corporate cold space equipment provider, wanted to relocate from 146 Robinson Road, and two other spaces it occupied, to G/J 172 Robinson Road, but was hamstrung by the fact that it still had 12 months to go on its lease. Coming to the rescue, Knox was able to find a tenant to fill that period and beyond.

“For the overseas based tenant”, says Knox “this was the ideal building in a perfect location… Bevwizz was able to amalgamate its three sites, while the lessor of 146 Robinson Road was able to sign up a long term tenant without any gap in occupancy.” In addition, “the owner of 172 Robinson Road was”, according to Donnelly, also able to secure a long term tenant “on a property that had been difficult to lease for that period of time.”

The larger of the two buildings is a metal clad, mostly clearspan warehouse with access via three container height roller doors, and wide driveways for heavy vehicles. The other features ground floor office and showroom areas and a clearspan warehouse with good internal height.
